About CCM Styles

Contemporary commercial music is an umbrella term for popular musical styles, such as pop, jazz, folk, and rock. For many years, these styles of singing did not receive sufficient attention in peer-reviewed voice research. Fortunately, professional perspectives are evolving, and there is now a greater understanding that healthy vocal production is not limited to the Western classical bel canto technique. In this section, we will examine efficient and sustainable approaches for singing idiomatically in non-classical styles.
